"Tess of the D'Urbervilles" — wallpaper and icons

I've finally got my "muse" back. ;) I haven't been very creative at school, but I suppose that now it's almost done, I needed to make a wallpaper last night. It's of the new miniseries "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" that aired on BBC in the fall.

Aw, thanks. I don't have comments-notice (though I wish I knew how to turn it on for this community :S) so that's not a problem. ;) I'm glad you like my wallpapers so much! (And yay for 1280x800.)

Without giving too much away, Tess is about a poor country family who discover they have ancestral roots to a rich family. (Durbeyfield = D'Urberville...) This sets events in motion for the eldest daughter, Tess, who is sort of pursued by two different men. It's a wonderful miniseries, and I loved the main actors, but the end is very tragic, almost in a Romeo and Juliet sort of way, where there were misunderstandings and terrible timing.

Here's the main BBC site for the show.

Oh, def. taking the wallpaper. Very pretty.

Can I suggest you make something using images from "The Devil's Whore" or "Little Doritt"? I think I just did, so yeah. :)

    Thanks!

I haven't seen any high resolution pictures for either of those series. I'd love to make a Little Dorrit paper, and I'll keep my eyes out for good "The Devil's Whore" pictures too.

Those are beautiful! I really like #9.

Have you considered making icons of The Moonstone? That is one of my favorite period dramas but I haven't found any icons of it.

    Thank you. :)

I haven't seen The Moonstone but I've heard of the novel. I didn't know that the film starred Greg Wise and Keeley Hawes — I'll definitely keep it in mind!
